CWDM SFP+ 10G Optical Module Wiki
Knowledge Base + 2024.01.16

CWDM SFP+ 10G optical module is a low-cost WDM transmission technology for the access layer of metro network.CWDM SFP+ 10G optical module adopts CWDM technology, which can save optical fiber resources by using external wavelength division multiplexer to multiplex optical signals of different wavelengths together and transmit them through one optical fiber. At the same time, the receiver needs to use WDM to decompose the compound optical signals.CWDM SFP+ 10G module is divided into 18 bands, from 1270nm to 1610nm, with 20nm between each two bands.

In principle, CWDM SFP+ 10G optical module uses optical multiplexer to multiplex optical signals of different wavelengths into a single optical fiber for transmission, and at the receiving end of the link, the mixed signals in the optical fiber are decomposed into signals of different wavelengths with the help of optical demultiplexer, which are connected to the corresponding receiving equipment.
